Media Operations Manager

Location: Denver
Status: Full-time

Reporting to the Director of Media Operations, the Media Operations Manager position is fit for a forward thinking, hard working professional with a passion for operations management in the media technology, asset management and licensing industries. This individual will own all aspects of multiple complex projects on behalf of the company’s key media partners. Partners may include Sony Pictures Entertainment, Paramount Pictures, NBC News and other major International news and studio groups. This is a manager-level role, with growth potential across the operations team in time for the right candidate.


  • Ownership of all business operations aspects required to maintain, support and enhance the company’s largest media technology projects
  • Project planning and tracking to ensure that all deadlines are met
  • Leveraging company resources across business operations, technical operations, finance, marketing, web development and executive management teams to ensure that projects are executed efficiently and successfully
  • Manage all project activities as outlined by partner agreements, ensuring commitments are met and operations are in line with agreed upon terms and time frames
  • Oversee all invoicing processes and profitability analysis related to the project
  • Oversee Media Operations Associates supporting day-to-day administrative tasks of the project
  • Lead team of Media Operations Associates in scheduling and preparing partner film and video content for ingest into the platform for online search, preview, licensing and fulfillment. Content preparation also includes metadata organization and management
  • Create and maintain excellent customer service standards for the operations team across all media partners
  • Perform frequent financial analysis for internal TEM and external partner reporting
  • Establish, maintain and develop relationships with partners via weekly status meetings as well as event planning, presentation development and execution for  bi-annual off-site partner meetings
  • Identifying and implementing new revenue and growth opportunities related to major media partners
  • Gain understanding of licensing rights related to partner content in an effort to support the international content sales network with footage approvals and inquiries

Experience and Attributes:

  • Experience with film/video production, stock footage, web development, or other related industries.
  • MBA preferred
  • Start-up experience preferred
  • Consistent strong performance within previous project management, product management, or client management positions.
  • Top-notch customer service abilities
  • Ability to cultivate relationships with all levels of an organization, including ability to lead presentations to senior executive team members at large media organizations.
  • Successes with process establishment and refinement to maximize resources and efficiencies
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skill set with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Highly adaptable and comfortable with change.
  • Excellent multitasking abilities
  • Minimum of 6-8 years experience.
