Kevin Schaff
Founder and CEO

As CEO of Thought Equity, Kevin leads the company's corporate strategy, drives product direction and positioning, raises funds, and generates awareness for Thought Equity among industry analysts and potential partners. Kevin is a well-regarded entrepreneur who has successfully founded, financed, operated and sold companies from the beginning of his career. He brings decades of experience in the advertising, marketing and businesses realms and his leadership efforts have been recognized by publications such as CIO, Small Business Computing, Advertising Review, Yahoo Magazine, and others.

Prior to founding Thought Equity, Kevin founded UPDATE Systems, Inc., an Internet e-communication company focused on delivering e-mail marketing and promotion software to aggregators of small business. In 1999, Kevin successfully negotiated the sale of UPDATE Systems to Webb Interactive Services (Nasdaq: WEBB), a leading provider of infrastructure services for local Internet commerce. Kevin was also the and President of Wind River Communications Inc., a nationally competitive design and Internet development firm formed in 1993. Under his direction, Wind River experienced growth of more than 100% each year for five consecutive years and served clients such as USWEST, Motorola, Coopers & Lybrand, and Macy's. In 1999, Kevin successfully negotiated the sale of Wind River. Kevin received a BA in Marketing Communications from the University of Wyoming.


Randy Kenworthy

As President of Thought Equity, Randy is responsible for driving the company's international and domestic sales strategies, market penetration, customer acquisition, product adoption, and the attainment of revenue objectives. Randy comes with extensive experience building and leading companies and sales organizations that quickly produce extraordinary results. During his career, Randy has led aggressive and successful sales operations in a variety of high-tech industries including database marketing, data storage, Internet performance monitoring, e-commerce, and lead optimization software. Randy was key to the expansion and success of companies such as Vanguard Technology, Metromail (NYSE: ML), Exodus Communications, (NASDAQ: TIXX), Avail Systems Corporation, Service Metrics, Inc. and others.

Randy is also the founder of ConX Corporation, a developer and provider of sales management and management training programs for Fortune-sized high-tech companies and is a nationally recognized speaker on success strategies. In the last two decades, Randy has founded three companies, and held several executive roles, from VP Sales to EVP Sales and Marketing and CEO. He created and launched three sales and management curriculums and personally trained over 5,000 sales and sales management employees worldwide for companies such as NCR, Hewlett Packard, AT&T;, Sears, Apple Computer, and Compaq Computer.


Steve Helle
Chief Technical Officer

As the Chief Technology Officer for Thought Equity, Steve sets the company's technology direction and oversees its advanced technology development. Steve brings over 17 years of executive leadership experience in the information technology industry, with special expertise in custom and commercial database marketing, database applications and product design and development.

He has held numerous executive positions, most recently serving as CEO for Summit Marketing Solutions, a provider of software services for large customer marketing databases. He also served as CEO at DataInsight, Inc., a provider of database solutions that was acquired by Exite@Home Corp. in 2001. Steve has also held numerous senior and executive roles and contributed to the success of key technology companies such as EDS (dbIntellect Technologies), Kendall Square Research (KSR), Computer Associates International, and Price Waterhouse. Steve’s strengths include stimulating and managing high-growth revenues, sustaining profitability, international market penetration, mergers and acquisitions, and technology applications. Steve holds a B.S. in Finance from Western Illinois University and has extensive professional training in relational database design and production.


Denise Fields
Chief Operating Officer

As COO, Denise oversees all operational aspects of Thought Equity's business. Denise has more than 20 years of management experience in both large, publicly held companies and smaller start-ups companies. Denise began her career by focusing on the sales and marketing arena with such companies as Information Builders and Lotus Development. At Lotus, Denise was responsible for the execution of the multi-platform spreadsheet products strategy, which ultimately led to the sale of Lotus to IBM. Most recently, Denise served as COO of Research Systems in Boulder, CO, and was responsible for building sales and operations. She quickly grew the company from $2M to $20M, established a worldwide distribution network and maintained profitability. In October of 2000, Denise was instrumental in negotiating the sale of the company to Eastman Kodak. Denise received her BS in Business, summa cum laude, from Boston State College and earned an MBA from Northeastern University.


Nancy Sauer
Vice President of Business Development

Nancy Sauer has over 18 years of experience in business development, product management and general management with information based companies. Prior to joining Thought Equity, Nancy was General Manager for Information Handling Service's (IHS) Financial Products Group. She evolved the group from a database focused company to a solutions provider by building partnerships with leading organizations like the World Bank and the American Banking Association. In her 8 years at Standard and Poor's Compustat, Nancy took on increasing responsibilities including management for the data content, channels and distribution and high value clients. Additionally she was instrumental in creating and bringing to market the first S&P; cross division internet product. She has partnered with key organizations such as Ernst & Young, leading Wall Street firms and other large consulting firms to create large enterprise solutions. Nancy has been recognized in the business community for her ability to consistently develop successful products, sales channels and alliances. She received her MBA from the College of William and Mary and a BS in Engineering from Virginia Tech. Nancy actively serves Virginia Tech on the Advisory Board for the Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering, the Residential Leadership Community and as a member of the Committee of 100 for the College of Engineering.


Holly Hamann
Vice President of Marketing

As Thought Equity's VP of Marketing, Holly is responsible for the market penetration, industry awareness, customer retention and product adoption of Thought Equity's print and video advertising product lines. Holly brings 15 years marketing experience in the Internet, telecommunications, network storage, multimedia, and IT professional services industries. She specializes in market launch, growth, and customer acquisition for technology start-ups. Holly's strategic and tactical marketing expertise includes business/market plan development, campaign development, public relations, collateral development, executive outreach and strategic partnerships. Her experience includes directing and executing marketing communications for start-ups such as LeftHand Networks, Matchlogic, and Service Metrics (acquired by Exodus Communication within 10 months after launch). Holly was founder and principal of Mercury Communications, a consulting company providing strategic marketing and communications strategies for Internet and related technology companies. She spent 6 years with Bell Atlantic in Marketing, Sales and Finance prior to moving to Colorado. While at Bell Atlantic, she successfully negotiated major telecommunications contracts with leading aerospace defense contractors such as Boeing, McDonald Douglas, Fairchild and Lockheed Martin. Holly has a BA in Mathematics and Computer Science from Washington College, and completed graduate studies in Telecommunications at Johns Hopkins University.
