How do I access Thought Equity Motion’s footage libraries in my Avid professional editing system?
To access Thought Equity Motions footage library scroll your mouse over “Marketplace” in the top menu bar and then click “Media Libraries”. This will bring you to a landing page where you can then choose to browse our video libraries.

Do I have to be in my Avid professional editing system to access the Thought Equity Motion footage libraries?
No, Thought Equity Motion’s footage libraries can be accessed at www.thoughtequity.com from any major web browser. To ensure that you have the best experience possible we do recommend that you use the latest version available for the browser and flash.

If I already have a Thought Equity Motion account do I need to create a new one to have access to content through Avid?
No, if you already have a Thought Equity Motion account you can simply login as you would at www.thoughtequity.com.

Do I need to create an account with Thought Equity Motion to search for footage?
No, to search our vast libraries of news, sports, nature, entertainment and creative stock footage you do not need to create an account.

Do I need to create an account with Thought Equity Motion to download a comp?
Yes, to download a free frame accurate comp you will need to first register for an account or sign in using an existing account.

Is there any fee for creating an account?
No,  there is no cost to register for an account on www.thoughtequity.com. With your free account you are given access to our entire online footage library and complimentary research services, in addition to industry-leading tools to help you search, share, preview, and download the right footage for your video project.

What is a bin?
Both Avid editing systems and Thought Equity Motion use bins as an organizational tool. Thought Equity Motion bins can be thought of as folders that are used to organize and share content. To learn more about bins and how to use them, click here.
