Solutions Architect

Reporting into the Platform Services executive office, the Solution’s Architect is a senior-level position for a detail oriented and hard-working professional with the energy and passion for working with customers and internal teams (local and regional offices).  Able to listen and understand requirements and anticipate problems which need to be solved.   This is a consultative role, which will involve spending time with customers to understand the requirements and workflow needs. Define the scope and be the lead in designing, and planning all aspects of media solutions for studio, broadcast and content archive owners.   The position will require the ability to bridge the gap and support sales, technology and customer requirements.  This is a senior level position providing media technology consultancy to service sales and turn-up.

 Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the coordination, design, development and handoff of media technology service solutions from inception to commercial operations.
  • Fully understand and accurately represent Thought Equity Motion’s services from a business, operational and technical perspective to existing and potential customers.
  • Serve as the Service Solution Architect/Media Consultant - managing the relationship with the customer’s service interests through all organizations within TEM.
  • Continuously support and develop sales pipeline and progress opportunities through the stages of the sales cycle to deal close.
  • Provide technical acumen support in all sales engagements.
  • Understanding of company capabilities and service and effectively presenting and communicating solutions to the client through the lens of their business objectives.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of TEM services and products and how they serve our customer’s needs, including features, advantages, and benefits, and key examples of usage
  • Ensure that Thought Equity Motion is represented in a professional and positive manner.
  • Keep up with industry trends and best practices.

Experience & Attributes:

  • Must have extensive media technology experience, the successful candidate must have knowledge in web-based systems architecture, service-based architecture, enterprise application architecture as well as experience managing expectations when balancing alternatives against business and financial constraints.
  • Must have experience in building complex media solutions considering cost, capacity, capability and performance expectations.
  • Ability to manage an RFP effort gathering all technical, business, and commercial responses and developing a high quality response.
  • Must demonstrate good judgment and pragmatic approach to delivering solutions that optimize service activities across company needs, business constraint, cost, and technological realities.
  • Must have media technology experience with encoding/transcoding, storage, digital file delivery, workflow, distribution, and metadata.
  • Experienced with analog to digital transformations, media asset management, production IT infrastructure.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in architecture, professional services, media business development, customer facing media operations.
  • Experience with large media projects.
  • Experience with environments such as Studios, Broadcasters, or other relevant Content Library owners.
  • Demonstrated success in a results-focused, aggressive, hard working, high-growth culture, startup experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
  • High degree of attention to detail

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PPT, Word
  • Experience with film/video production, stock footage, web development, or other related industries a plus
  • BA/BS in relevant field or minimum of 3 years successful experience in telesales, call center or inside sales in a software or related high technology segment
  • Excellent communication, presentation and customer service skills
  • Must be willing to break with established industry thinking and business models; develop new innovative solutions that take advantage of new services, products and commercial models.
