Congratulations Moxie Firecracker Films & HBO Documentary Films for the World Premiere of ETHEL at Sundance

Congratulations to our client, Moxie Firecracker Films, and HBO Documentary Films for the World Premiere of ETHEL. The documentary will debut at the Sundance Film Festival 2012 on January 20th at 2 p.m. at The MARC, Park City. We’re excited to be part of such a highly anticipated documentary!

Our specialized documentary research team worked with Moxie Firecracker Film’s LA-based production team to license footage for ETHEL, a portrait of the life of Ethel Kennedy directed by her Emmy Award-winning daughter - Rory Kennedy - with ongoing support from HBO Documentary Films. The majority of the video that Moxie Firecracker licensed for ETHEL came from our offline CBS News archive. The archival content they utilized features a range of events and icons from the 1940′s through the 1960′s that impacted the Kennedy family, such as the assassination of JFK and Martin Luther King, Jr., the McCarthy trials, news coverage of Robert Kennedy’s political campaigns, and the Vietnam War. The clips we provided put the film’s intimate interviews with Ethel Kennedy and her children into context. ETHEL  premieres at the Sundance Film Festival 2012 on January 20 at 2 p.m. at The MARC, Park City and is scheduled for broadcast on HBO in Summer 2012.
